Heat exchanger tubes are designed for heat transfer processes and mostly applied in heating, cooling, condensation and evaporation of liquids, gases, steam and their mixes. There are different types of heat exchanger tubes such as u-bent, longitudinally finned, plain, etc. There are several features that are to be taken into account when designing heat exchanger tubes: diameter, thickness, length, pitch, corrugation. For example, heat exchanger tubes with small diameter makes it more economic and compact, so far diameter can define more effective technical solution. However to prevail over the cleaning and fouling problems, larger heat exchanger tube diameters should be used. Thus, to determine heat exchanger tube diameter, the nature of the fluids, available space and cost must be considered. Application of heat exchanger tube allows reducing expenses of energy for heat-carrier substances considerably. Heat-exchanger tubes manufacturing provides quality of production and comprises such functions as inspection with synchronous dimension detection of tubes thickness and width, accurate lay-out within required length. Heat exchanger tube are always a cold finished product. |
